Pearl Toner Foil produced by Hongye comes with a soft pearl iridescent luster. It presents a delicate and smooth iridescence texture as the viewing angle changes, without strong metallic reflection.

Technology / Process

The Pearl Toner Foil is made through a multi-layer PET substrate and special pearlescent coating composite process. The color layers are transparent and natural. It supports variable data graphics, short single proofing, and small batch customized production.

Applicable substrates:

- Various coated papers, matte powder papers, special art papers, with finer and smoother paper surfaces resulting in better pearlescent effect

- White card, gray base white board, etc. packaging card papers, suitable for surface local decoration of gift boxes and handbags

- Some synthetic papers, light-coated special papers, it is recommended to do a small sample test before machine operation

- Paper surfaces with heavy silicone oil or high release coating are not recommended, as they will reduce the transfer adhesion

Parameters

Common transfer faults and troubleshooting guidelines

1. Partial incomplete transfer of pearlescent

Check: Insufficient heat press temperature, or too thin carbon powder ink layer thickness; slightly increase the heat press parameters to ensure carbon powder is fully heated and melted.

2. Large area detachment of pearlescent film

Check: The substrate surface contains demolding agents, and the paper surface tension is insufficient; replace with suitable paper or do surface pre-treatment in advance.

3. Edge smudging and overflow of transfer pattern

Check: Excessive heat press pressure, or slow feeding speed; reduce pressure and appropriately increase the feeding speed.

4. Uneven pearl luster of finished product

Check: Unstable tension of the transfer film roll or uneven temperature distribution of the heat roller; check the equipment rollers to stabilize the roll material tension.
