Hongye's China Metallic Toner Foil is based on a PET multi-layer composite structure, specifically tailored for the carbon powder graphics output by laser printers and digital printing machines. It eliminates the need for traditional stamping plates and stamping plate rollers, and saves the plate-making cycle and costs.

What is carbon powder transfer?

Carbon powder transfer is a unique physical transfer process in digital stamping.

The laser digital equipment prints the graphics in the form of carbon powder on the surface of the paper. After heating, the carbon powder forms a layer of thermally fused adherent.

Under the heat pressing condition, the thermoplastic adhesive layer of this Metallic Toner Foil firmly adheres to the printed carbon powder. After peeling, the metal coating only follows the carbon powder graphics and transfers to the substrate paper, and there will be no blank areas without carbon powder that will carry the metal coating layer.

Differences

This process differs from the traditional hot stamping process which relies on metal plates for embossing. Instead, the patterns are completely based on the digital printing toner. Changing the patterns does not require the replacement of hardware, enabling the rapid realization of personalized and variable-numbered metal stamping effects.
